Below is a brief overview of the alternatives available to you.  Standard Comprehensive ProgramThe first visit is usually about one hour long and includes a complete history and physical examination by one of our practitioners. The goal of the first visit is to get an understanding of all of your health issues so we can get to the underlying root cause of your medical problems. This is very different from the typical 15 minute visit you may have encountered in many physician appointments.  Short visits may not give physicians enough time to address the cause of your issues.  For example, if you are feeling fatigued, a tonic may be the quick patch to your problem; but the underlying root cause which could be hypothyroid, adrenal fatigue or heavy metal toxicity also needs to be addressed to give you a long term solution.  This is what we do.  The specific blood tests you will need are determined by information obtained from a comprehensive medical questionnaire, as well as on the findings of your physical. You will also be given a Psychosocial Evaluation if needed, to determine to what degree stress factors are contributing to your symptoms or medical condition. This first visit may also include a 5-hour glucose tolerance test and/or a food allergy panel. In most cases, the need for these tests can be determined when you arrive so that you may plan your schedule accordingly. The second visit will include a consultation with your physician to discuss the findings of your blood, stool urine and other tests that may have been performed. Through both sessions, we will design and implement an individualized treatment plan, which will most likely include dietary modification, an oral vitamin regimen, herbal/homeopathic remedies and other appropriate treatments, based on your health needs. Subsequent visits, tests and treatments will be determined on an as-needed basis. Bear in mind, however, that we find the best results are usually achieved through frequent monitoring and fine-tuning your initial treatment plan as progress is achieved. Fees: Since each treatment plan is individually tailored to your needs, the fees vary to some degree. Insurance reimbursement for these services varies greatly as well. However, we will do everything possible to assist you in filing your claims and receiving appropriate reimbursement. In any case, many medical treatments not covered by insurance are tax deductible.  Consultation for a Specific Health ConditionAlthough it may add time and some cost to the process of becoming a patient, some people prefer to start with an extensive consultation with either a staff physician for a specific medical problem you may be having. If you choose this option, for your first visit, we will require all test results or reports (excluding films) that you have accumulated over the last 6 months, as well as a written list of any medications and their exact dosages presently being taken as well as those taken within the last three months. Telephone Nutritional Counseling (TNC) With a PhysicianAt the request of many out-of-state callers and others who cannot come to the Center, we have designed this program to offer assistance to those who are on a Weight Loss Diet. It is an inexpensive way to receive personalized attention from a distance. In order to participate, you will be asked to submit a questionnaire for our review prior to the phone session. To arrange for TNC, PLEASE NOTE THAT TELEPHONE NUTRITIONAL COUNSELING (TNC) IS FOR THOSE WHO NEED HELP FOLLOWING THE ATKINS OR ANOTHER DIET OR WITH OTHER NUTRITION-RELATED MATTERS, NOT FOR THOSE WITH MEDICAL PROBLEMS. Heart disease is the #1 health problem for both women and men in the United States.  Almost 700,000 people die of heart disease in the U.S. each year. EDTA helps prevent arterial spasms, reduces intravascular plaque formation and improves blood flow, even in diseased arteries.
